2015 Christmas Parade and Sale

Silver Bells! It's Christmastime in the city! The 2015 Christmas Parade is scheduled for Monday, November 30 at 5:30 pm as a part of our "Shop Local" campaign. We want everyone to come celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season in one of the most beautiful cities in West Virginia.

Local businesses will stay open until 8 pm that night with specials and we encourage you to come early, shop local, enjoy the parade, come see Santa and the RCHS Choir at the Heritage Park Community Building, dine at one of our local restaurants and make Christmas local. Businesses will be competing with each other for "Best Christmas Spirit" which means you get to experience the magic of Christmas all over Spencer. The City has invested in lots of new light displays for all over town and we will be giving away $1000 in Christmas Bucks to some lucky random folks via WVRC Radio and other special ways.

We want to encourage all churches, schools, non-profits, businesses, choirs, bands and groups of any kind to get in the spirit and participate in this wonderful parade and event.

For more information on the Christmas Sale and how your business can participate - contact Philip Smith, Director of Planning & Development at 927-1640.

For the Parade Participation Application, click below or stop by City Hall on Court Street or Spencer Floral on Main Street to pick up an application.
